MicroBagg #1: Quick Hits From 'One Blog To Rule Them All.'

Some quick thoughts thoughts on Week 1...

  • In my mind a good showing in Super Bowl XXXVIII followed by a couple of good fantasy seasons, gave Jake Delhomme a mulligan the last few shaky years. But it's to the point where I can't remember the last time I trusted Delhomme to not diarrhea all over the field.

  • Setting your Week 1 fantasy lineup is always scary. Always feels like a crap-shoot. I hate it. But hell sakes, is it just me or was making projections on this site even scarier? It felt like my eternal soul hung in the friggin' balance and no matter what I did the God's of Fantasy Football were going to be angry. (Yes they're real, and yes they hate you.)

  • One thing they apparently weren't happy about is my projecting Michael Turner ahead of Adrian Peterson. Just dumb.

  • Stokley's tipped catch was exciting and his running down the clock was plain smart. Minus the injuries, Stokley has had a damn respectable NFL career for a non-star. If Stokley has the kind of ego that builds a tribute-room to himself when he retires (complete with self portraits painted on the actual plaster), he'll have plenty of big moments to hang on the wall someday. Or he can keep it simple and just go with a personalized Gus Johnson ringtone.

  • What the hell is wrong with the Saints' coaching staff? Get Brees a shot at tying the TD record for hell sakes! Coaches forget this because they move from team to team, but when the game is already in hand sometimes you go for history. Fans want to witness history. At the very least you go for it to build team momentum/morale. Why even keep Brees on the field those last bunch of minutes if you're not going to give him a shot at the end zone? Reggie Bush wasn't doing anything, let him hand it off to Mike Bell! (Plus without that seventh TD I needed at least 80 yards and a TD out of Welker tonight in one of my leagues, which didn't happen. Six TDs out of my QB and I still lose because Anthony Gonzalez got chop blocked by a fart. I hate fantasy football. But then again...)

  • ...In my other league, I dropped Nate Burleson and picked up a surprisingly undrafted Justin Gage. And then I started him against Pittsburgh's DEF. Due to the defensive matchup I was mocked for this by our commissioner....the same guy who drafted Andre Johnson in the first round. (Hehe!)

  • I'm not down on Houston yet. I'm just thinking Rex Ryan did what he was hired to do and had that Jets DEF ready to go. Or...

  • ...maybe the Bills are what everyone predicted the Texans were going to be this year. (This would sound a bit more insightful without a stupid kickoff fumble and Brady being clutch-awesome Brady.)

  • I'm no Pats fan, but damn, it's good to have Brady back.

Беру то что нужно и я искал вот только наконец-то

Not Down on Houston yet? God I hope your right!

I have put so much stock in Andre Johnson this year in both of leagues! Sure hope they turn it around!

Houston is in Trouble

Matt Schwaub, Steve Slaton, & AJ... If you own any of them I could see how you would be freaking out.
